Why is it so dang difficult to get a RESPECTABLE job in Singapore if you're above 40 and a minority? Can someone tell me PLEASE!!!!!????
I've been applying for administrative jobs (I'm good at this) at all corners of this XxxxX island for more than 2 months now and I dont get any response at all!! Salary expectations lowered to waaaay below what I'm worth and still... no calls or offers?
Please dont tell us to get jobs at supermarkets, fast-food, as cleaners & security.
Been there done that! Once I held 2 jobs (yeah, you guessed right.... like the ones above) at one time and I brought home a measely $900/mth after the COMPULSORY XxxxX deductions.
And you know what.... they 'sock it to ya' cos they pay you PEANUTS.
They squeeze you dry (eg. 12-hr shift), expect you to shut-ya-mouth; do as they say, not as they do; manipulate your kindness, committment & knowledge; if you're good at it, they promote the OTHER guy; bla-bla-bla.... and what do you get?
P-E-A-N-U-T-S!!!

I'm really pissed!
With a family to feed, banks on our backs, house about to go, ... the lists goes on;
I AM XxxxxX PISSED-OFF!
If I had enough dough, I'd join the QUITTERS and leave this XxxxX island before you can say 'Count on me Singapore'.
Maybe i'll rant about equality (equal opportunity, gender, citizenship.... ) & respect next.
Something related to my recent work experience. It'll be a good one. So, look out for it.
For now..... rant over.
BTW, can't wait for the next GE. Hope its not another walk-over for this district.
